Any help would be great!
I've ripped mine out a dozen times, never had this issue. Did you accidentally short something???

Im not sure how to tell if I did or not. I may have when hooking up the rear view camera. If I did, how can I tell, and how can I fix it? I'm not quite experienced enough with wiring to know

well im guessing that i did short something in the harness. i hooked the HU up to the battery directly and it worked just fine. Guess ill have to order another harness?

Also, i guess now that the scare is out of the way, i cannot find any possible way to fit the dash panel over the HU with the metra dash kit installed. I sanded down the small lip on the top and bottom of the HU and am able to get the dash panel over the HU by itself, but once i put the dash kit on, i cant seem to figure it out anymore.
@2forme, any ideas how to make this fit? If im ordering another harness, im gonna go ahead and grab the beatsonic kit to test out fitment there.

I've accepted that the metra kit will require a lot of dremmeling to make work. Presently the deck is in the car with these nice gaps on either side

I have access to a water jet and can probably make plates to take up the space if someone wants to send me a template.

Is the radio catching on the top or bottom of the panel? I've found that you need to get the angle of the radio just right else it won't fit. No dremmeling required.

For mine bro, i dremmeled off the top and bottom lip of the head unit and used the beat sonic bracket, i had to wiggle the bezel for it to fit flush but it works

Oh thats interesting how you put the dash panel behind the bevel on the headunit. Hmm.

On a sidenote, does anyone have shitty quality sound when they connect their phone to the HU and play music through it? Is that a result of the garbage internal amp?

I dremeled the sides and trimmed the front of the Metra kit. They sit in frontt of the side tabs on the head unit. Trim off the the little lip on the front of the Metra pieces to make them "skinnier" (when looking at them installed). Does that make sense.

@privfaith I was getting frustrated at that point and decided that I am satisfied with the look. I thought about dremmeling the bracket but didnt want to go to far on it and not have it look flush.

i had mine sitting in front of the side bevel of the headunit (not behind, like the picture posted a few posts above) and the dash panel was hitting the left and right sides of the metra kit. It was as if the HU with the metra kit was way too wide to fit in the space that the dash panel allows. Nearly a quarter inch it seems from looking at it.

Also as for the sound quality through bluetooth, it really isnt very good, but i found that lowering the volume on your phone has a major effect on the quality.

Yup, it's too wide, the metra kit has a small protrusion on the front inner faces. I dremeled them down to flush with the rest of the piece and it fits perfectly.

I've noticed BT quality vary from phone to phone.

I just purchased the beatsonic kit with harness and dash kit, is there anyone that can speak of their kits fitment, compared to the metra?

Also, @2forme, given your experience with this unit, do you know if there's a way to get it to resume an app such as mx player or winamp instead of the built in music player? Kinda a pain to have to shut one off and open the other every time, then select the music
