Does anyone in the area have experience installing springs?

Once the weather gets nicer I plan on getting RCE springs, but I've never touched suspension aside from sway bars. I'd gladly supply food and drinks and/or help with your car too.

Thanks in advance!

I don't have any experience installing springs, but I plan on getting some RCE springs too. If someone knows how to do it, we can have a group install day. :happy0180:

Installing springs is fairly simple, but a bit dangerous because you need a spring compressor to remove the old springs. I'm no expert but i changed mine out on an old sentra i had. Between us, maybe we could do a group meet up split the price of the compressor and knock out everyones at once. I plan on getting the eibach pro lines anyway.

Just wanted to say hi. Picked up my car earlier this month. Not my first Subaru, but so far this is my favorite. I used to frequent the N@sioc MIAC PGH monthly gtgs in Robinson. You all should check those out as well as your own TWINS gtgs. Be careful with spring compressors, they are not to ever be trusted as safe.

I borrowed one the last time i did springs, so I'm not sure, but i don't think they're that expensive. Maybe around $20 - $30. But you can only compress one spring per compressor, so if we get 4 people to buy one and show up at the meet, we can probably change them faster lol.

Do have to be careful though. If a compressed spring gets loose, it's a really bad day for whatever it hits...

May 10th One Lap of America @ PittRace

I was thinking of going out to PittRaceComplex to show support for SpeedFactory's Entry. Its May 10th so might not be an ideal time/date for everyone. I just was interested to see the car and how it looks on track.

Just wanted to throw it out there and see if anyone else had thought about it.

All you need is a helmet sa 2005 or newer
Last yr it cost $200 for the day
You get classroom instruction
If your new, sign up for group 1, an instructor will ride with you
You will get three 30 min sessions going as fast as you like
Let me know if you have any questions.
