Random question for you guys, I'm planning on buying my GF an FT86 next year. Which would you choose?
Convertable FRS OR Limited BRZ

well if you get another FRS even if it's an convertible you two can share parts easily. I know you can do that with a BRZ too but just in case say, they come out with the nicer lights or you want to do some front bumper stuff. A BRZ is nice because of the comforts, but I guess it depends if she likes convertibles. You would win with both cars, and who knows the convertible might even cost less or more than the limited. It's nice that you can have two of these nice cars though. I don't think you can go wrong with either. Also the convertible still a toss up in the air, if reactions to it in Geneva is bad it's just not going to go into production. Then you would get the Limited BRZ.

Sweet, now I'm getting grief over this. We have an official directive that we can make up any hours missed at the behest of our Federal lead...but that's going to be an uncertain process because the lead won't approve time in advance. Can't do 30 minutes/hour extra and I'm being forced to take a full 8 hours of leave. Won't let me bill the 2 hours I was troubleshooting...ridiculous.

Middle of this year will be the special edition FRS. Scion is doing a 10th anniversary of each of their models all in a "never before seen Silver" I know the special edition FRS will be limited to 2000 units and come with LED Running Lights, HID Headlights, Smart Key, and Dual Zone automatic climate control all with special edition badging. It won't be a convertible, but it will be cool to have those features on a FRS standard. That's just a thought and it's not confirmed that the convertible will even be produced for the states yet.

@ichitaka05 seems like scion special edition rumors aren't just popping up in just one place, here's another claim of one but total opposite of what we heard before.

Think if it this way. If the car just came out middle of this year instead of last year with all those features included, would you trade those features to get the car a year earlier in retrospect?

Thanks! I was actually on a trail of rumors recently, this will help add to the stuff we've been hearing so far. Guess I'll hold off on buying anything now just in case. that special edition is going to be sold out in like a week if it's that much stuff and only 2000 of them.
