I had a lot of BT issues with 4.1.1 on my Galaxy Nexus. Rooting and flashing a 4.2.x ROM fixed everything. 4.2.0 has a documented A2DP BT streaming issue that has been fixed by Google with the newest release.

The only solution I found for this on stock 4.1.1 was editting a .bin file in the BT stack but to edit the file requires root access and to root my phone I had to wipe it (unlock the bootloader). So I decided to just flash a custom ROM anyway.

if you are on iOS the pandora app doesn't play nicely with Bluetooth streaming. I was able to get spotfity and I <3 Radio to work just fine...

I have a similiar issue and I'm on a Samsung Note 2. Before I had a Nokia Lumia 900 and it was rock solid and read all my texts back to me. My Note 2 does it off and on. I see the connection between the car and the phone connect and disconnect intermitently all the time. It also just stalls here and there and when it does it takes forever for the phone to connect back again. It's frustrating and at times I want to throw the car and or the phone away.

Hmm. My Note 2 is rock solid on connecting with the BT for music. No drops whatsoever. I hit the message button and it takes a while trying to retrieve, and then it stops. I have not other issues beside that.

I'm going to try erasing (?) it from the head unit and repairing it tonight. Hope that will solve it, because I love the phone.

Been on a stock rooted htc one x+ 4.1.1 which didn't allow the touchscreen controls to work but it would pair and play music fine. Just upgraded to 4.2.2 and now everything works 100%
