Cameronghanson quick question about your front debadge, whats involded with that? Is it easy as just removing the emblem? It makes such a difference.
I also have a white premium BRZ.
Hey man! It's a huge pain and I only did it cause I had a spare bumper and which I ended up replacing. But there is the two mounting holes plus, unlike the frs, a depression where the Subaru badge sits that has to be filled and sanded and painted. It's definitely a mod that's probably more trouble and cost than its worth. But it made for some cool avatars lol and if want ill show you next weekend what I mean

I'm excited to hear any aftermarket exhausts you guys have.. hopefully there will be a few different ones. I'm having a really hard time deciding which version I want and the youtube videos are only marginally helpful.. So getting to hear a few different exhausts in person will be great.

Though I'm still not sure if I will bring my car.. depends on the weather.. I'm anal about salt, so if there is any new snow this coming week I'll probably leave the car in the garage.

Hey I was following my realtor on 696 while looking at properties for my upcoming move down to the southfieldish area and I saw a RED Scion FR-S go by in the left lane, with license plate of XTR. This anyone? I was in a white FR-S rebadged to toyota. Is this you?

I'm pretty sure I can make it.

I'm thinking I'll be driving whatever horrible car the dealer gives me as a loaner though

I remember last time we met up there was some concern you were getting the CEL/Idle issue. Did the lights finally come on?

Not yet.
This is for the burning smell in the engine bay fix attempt no.2, the window seals, half the interior is being replaced to fix rattles and hopefully the dealer can replicate some of the intermittent stuff (like the idle issues) if they have the car for a few days.

Good lord that sounds terrible. I suspect if i took mine in for rattles it would never leave the dealership again. I may get my seals checked out after it warms up a bit. Good luck with that. Hopefully it gets taken care of correctly and in a timely manner.

I hope it warms up by Saturday. I don't think the stock summer tires are any good when its this cold and I don't want to take the snows of the wrx just for a week or two.

Good luck on the window seals I got mine replaced and they haven't releases an updated part yet so it did the same thing the same day. I have some window seal adhesive to better seat the back part and some re conditioner to help it slide on the window better.

before i put my blizzaks on, the michelins weren't great but not at all undrivable, a few of the guys on here around MI still have theirs on and have been driving all winter on them. Not brave enough for that, plus i have a pretty decent commute where i cant afford to not show up

I've only lived in snow country for four years and I've been driving all season on my stocks. I have a very short commute in all fairness, but with the exception of one little and controllable slide on a really icy patch, the car has been unbelievably easy to handle. Much easier than the VW Rabbit I came out of and that was fwd. Unless the roads are absolutely covered in snow I wouldn't worry a bit. Especially not on cold alone. Tires grip totally fine in the cold.

Edit: But feel free to bring the WRX. There will be a ton of white twins

I was going to wash my car today, but I don't think there's a point.
