I see this VERY often with guys new to the car play world. I've even seem some old guys fall victim.. having done it myself long ago I wont ever do it again.

I figure it this way, if you have to spend more than 20 min in it at a rip you should be able to spend all day in it and not feel like you've been run waterboarded when you arrive at your destination.

So, question I have is.. will this upgrade work with a aftermarket head unit? I swapped my factory radio for a pioneer navi unit. It looks like it would since it's plug and play with the factory wiring. So in theory should connect to the adapter harness that a aftermarket HU would use.

Hmm... definitely has me curious. I dont think I'd spend a grand on this though. Not until I heard one and decided if it was worth it.

Pft. Sunroofs are over rated. Like carpet. And interior. And metal body panels. And cast flywheels. And Sound deadening......

Are you planning on having an instructor? Then remove the passenger seat too!

Kanundrum,

What class are you planning on running in? STX and stock-based classes would require that you keep the interior and seats.

CDC has the weight/power/tire type indicies, right? I run with them every now and again. I usually run with MSCW (which has no classes) and AI (which uses SCCA classes) .
