I feel honored that Mr. Hayashi had these released for the FRS/86/BRZ. I'm an old school jdm guy, so these wheels have a soft spot in my heart.
The size, offset, everything work perfect for someone who is looking for a different wheel that isn't over the top and will retain the cars factory designed functionality while adding subtle style. I'm having the hardest time with wheel choice due to the fear of compromising an already well balanced car. I think these may have me sold though. Again, thank you, Mr. Hayashi for all you do for the Japanese sports car enthusiast.

opinion - these are ugly wheels
Everyone has an opinion, and mine is that these are ugly wheels. Especially the Hayashi Street STL classic wheels. If you post pictures of wheels you are going to get varying opinions on how they look. If you don't want to hear anyone's opinion then don't post.

There is a reason why timeless designs are timeless. And there is something to say for people that can appreciate both new and classic designs.
Weve already seen that the 86 can be made into an 80s style car. So there is no reason why this wheel cant be done on the 86. |

These are awesome. I think 225/45/17's would be a perfect size for these wheels.
Just when I thought I had it all figured out. Now another choice! Not complaining though!

I like the design, and think it looks pretty good on the car. Wish it was .5" wider, but oh well.
About the "rust" posted by someone earlier.. Aren't these aluminum? Shouldn't they, then, oxidize and turn flaky white instead of rusting? |

Easy to remedy if you don't let it go too long. I kinda like that they come naked. |

Ugly, fine, but Disgusting... ah well, I didn't say to go buy or like anything one didn't want right? Let's just stay peaceful is what I am saying. No need to start a flame-fest unless you've been wronged as a customer for something right? I appreciate your comments, I'll put it that way -- negative or positive.

love them..
rather they be more aggressive and deep though. had 14x9 -19 on order for my 86 but the vendor was just lying to me about the order for 6 months (before they had us distro)... they were 2400$shipped just for 14's.. couldnt imagine the price for 17's. |

It's a nice-looking wheel for an old-school car. The Toyobaru is not an old-school car, and it's lines don't work well with this wheel design.
