Why Soo Hot
If anyone cares it is too hot here in AUS at the moment due to a heatwave hitting most southern states here.
We have had temperatures hit 48° Celsius 118° Fahrenheit in parts of NSW with massive Bushfire in Tasmania destroying homes. If any members here are from Tassie and are affected by there fires or have family there that are affected the countries thoughts are with you and hang in there. The Bureau of Meteorology has had to update their charts to now show heats up to 54° Celsius 129° Fahrenheit as shown below with predictions that on Sunday and Monday the temperatures will hit 50° Celsius 122° Fahrenheit next week in some parts of Sydney are at 40.2° Celsius 104.36° currently. And the country has set a new national average maximum of 40.33° degrees Celsius 104.594° Fahrenheit on Monday |

The map alone is intimidating enough. I've experienced 104° once or twice, but can't fathom what 122° would feel like.
Stay safe and keep cool down there! |

I have experienced 48*C regularly, but the worst I have ever copped was 52*C in the shade! It was too hot for the flies and was humid as hell too.
Currently sweltering in my non-air conditioned house watching the idiot box and should go out in the sun as it is cooler :S |

Wow. Now I feel like I was being a little bitch complaining about 95°F this past summer. I can't imagine dealing with an average temperature over 100°F. Stay hydrated!

But its a dry heat, right? /sarcasm
Hope you guys stay cool down there. Drink lots of water and stay out of the sun. ![]() However, if you wanted to do some interesting science, it may be hot enough that you could slow-cook chocolate chip cookies on your car's dash (its been done here in the States, but it wasn't as hot here as it is currently there), or the classic experiment, frying an egg on the pavement (the darker the better). |

My cousin in Taz luckily has been with her mom in Perth since Christmas, so she's okay. Not sure on her house yet though.

I learned the other day that eucalyptus trees are naturally designed to create hellfire on earth.
Everything in Australia terrifies me.
