The SRA is what it is. Ford has done a great job at perfecting that axle and remember most guys drag race mustangs. IRA and drag racing = kaboom.

BTW, you can get a base model GT for around 28-30 and had double the HP and more options than a FRS.
No the tranny is actually quite bad and the weakist link of the 5.0 and Boss Mustangs , the first thing Shelby does to their cars is rip out the MT82 and install a Tremec along with a one piece drive shaft, you think we have alot of posts about our synchros, try any of the Mustang sites about the MT82, I got many more guys challenging me a stoplights with my Mustang than the FRS.

So you're saying somebody revs their engine at a light, you power off the line then ease off the gas pedal and 'allow' them to fly by you. Then when they are slowing down at the next light, you power again to fly by them and you think they are the ass? If you think people who race from light to light are an ass, then I suggest you don't participate at all.

There is a lot of 'us vs. them' in this thread, I hope everyone that makes extremely polarizing claims realizes that 'they' are just in your imagination. Nobody is instantly a douche simply because they bought a different car than you did.

It is simply payback for the years mustang owners have endured fighting off civics and integras.I had an 88'mustang back in the day, most of my friends had 5.0L too.

Why did every riced out import feel the need to challenge american muscle at every stoplight?I mean the 5.0L was the stoplight king, short of a GNX or vette',we feared no one.

The reason we get harassed in out twins is because riceburners have a reputation for bringing a knife to a gunfight, jumping out there and getting their heads cracked.Don't blame the mustang drivers, blame the idiots back in the day that were driving ricers with annoyingly loud exhausts and 16 second timeslips.

Yes you do, sports car driver. You sound like a perfect supercar owner who needs a 86

Superchargers make me the guy who revs next to you at them red lights..
its all in the best of intentions, just wanting to have fun!

(And I don't consider the V6 Mustang a real Mustang)
I got my 12 GT premium for 30k compared to the 26-27k (after taxes) the Frs goes for. Frs isn't that cheap for what you get for it.

I too partake in being an ass... lets not get things twisted... I'm not on my "BETTER THAN THOU" trip... if I'm playing with them that makes me just as much an ass. But if I don't and let them just have at it... yes that makes them an ass... and I'm not on a whole "us vs them"... mainly because light to light, lane to lane, I honestly don't give a shit about their mustang. And don't judge them one way or another cause it matters not. Throwing out pretense just because you read something and interpreted it your way... And if I choose to be an ass, I can...

Because when you buy a car solely based on the horsepower, all you can do to justify its purchase is to stomp on the pedal everywhere you go.

Because of this post, i checked out a Mustang. For about the same price as my BRZ, you get a lot more in the Mustang. The interior quality seems to be a lot better too.

I love muscle cars, they are fun to drive. Some even handle pretty well. Stop taking it personal, they do that at every stop light, it has nothing to do with you. LOL :P

A friend of mine owns a mustang gt, and to be honest, aside from the fact that you can set the interior led's to any color, i personally do not like the interior of them. I feel there is just too much going on.
