Now imagine how many people raced off to Toyota to test drive, consider what that engine has been through before having chance to run in 2000km before you can push the car, according to Toyota.

Not to forget that this is a new car out for 6 months, any major problem have yet to be identified. Take the oil issue for one.....

Stick to new, wait it out, there is no real saving going second hand yet.
The first one I test drove at Empire Road - the dealer (older man too) took me out first and caned the poor thing (powershifting aggressively...) with only 60km on the clock - judging by my age I think he was worried about my driving. I then drove it in a very civilized manner as I knew the car could perform, I was interested in how it behaved on a daily basis, could I double de-clutch smoothly (old habits die hard) was it difficult to drive etc. Then we got back to empire road and I took it up to about 6500rpm in 1st and 2nd. I was convinced...

I fear how these cars were treated prior to delivery - this was on the launch weekend!

Cool! Eish, they have done a HORRIBLE job on that TRD kit though! None of the black bits are black and the white doesn't match the rest of the car at all.

If anyone wants a aero kit besides the TRD, you going to pay through your 86mm exhaust tips.
Got 4 quotes from suppliers to land in SA, scary stuff.

I use www.dutycalculator.com to gauge what duties will be. Not 100% accurate but give you an indication of what to expect.

Don't believe that, I have paid at times double what it indicated. I am sure customs thumb suck there costs at the time of entry.
I paid a whopping R450 duties on a R1200 trunk liner. I nearly told them ship back to sender....calculator said R150 odd if I recall.
Anyway going off this thread

At last. Got my own. That was me standing on the side of Beyers, next to my red devil. Saw a white one go past me. Been driving like a hooligan since I picked it up this afternoon. Diced with an Alfa, a Porche and cut off two taxis. All within a space of two hours. Love the growl in the car. Hate the radio, that I can't see wearing my Polaroids
