Go to stbrscca.com, in the november results I beat jimmy koneig (08 sti w coilovers, tires, exhaust, tune & intake.) by a fracton of a second on a clean run. By half a sec in another but hit a cone so it didnt count
As far as the new ones thou, im not sure how well prepared they come stock.

I had a 2011 STi. If it's stock to stock I would say the STi. It's mainly because of the DCCD control and power vs your stock FRS. When I got my FRS I always liked to say my 11 STi was like a fat X girlfriend. But she could sprint like a mother compared to the FRS. If there are lot of sharp corners and small sprints I would say the FRS hands down. But if there are any advantages of exiting corners and longer sprints the STi will get better times. Also it mainly depends on the driver. I've seen 1998 out back sports stomp on moded STi's in rallyx due to driver mod. Good luck and let the force be with you!

By the way while your at Auto X take that license plate out from your window. Incase you do roll you don't want that there.... and it's not required. and don't put on your E-brake right after runs if your on a level ground.

I think the biggest factor in this battle will be your tires. My bet is that the FR-S should be able to either keep up or beat the sti. Keep us updated on the results.

Interesting advice. I've autoxed for years and never competed on a track that tested the brakes in any sort of manner. Most of your speed is scrubbed off by your tires. Unless you're in a very heavy car I can't imagine the brakes being too hot to engage the parking brake. Then again there's nothing wrong with being overly cautious.

This last season w/ the FR-S I was very close to an STi in STU class. There might of been one event where I barely ran faster. However on slicks/Power mods STi would be larger gap I feel, but for stock to stock can be a drivers race on smaller course layouts. Most of them I wouldn't go much over 60mph hitting limiter in 2nd a few times, def surprised me being close / beating some WRX/STi's. I just ran Hankook RS3's and stuck great!
My brother has a 12' STi HB and ran street mod, he ran 275s full slicks and stage 2. , springs, alignment, sways, I was avg. 3-4 sec behind him w/ my stock FR-S w/ tires. He was well over 60mph in some sections I was just hitting.
