That is awesome! I think a little out of my league for diy but if someone was doing a cheap install I would be down

I'd rather just buy a hu instead of that. It's a cool DIY but I don't like the whole 2 stereo in the dash thing and plus you don't know how that tablet will do when it does get down into temp. Even my iPod will have troubles starting sometimes if its super chilly out.

Who else wanted one of those heel plates. I'm getting a list together for the first batch of 5 to be cut, so if you want one, let me know. There's one already claimed, so I just need 4 more people initially. Obviously, if you want one and aren't part of the first batch, you can still get one.

5. Jeffsides
6. Martin86 (brz)

8. Pug (brz)
9. Sekal (ship to VA)

Thee is a much easier way to do all of this. If you dont care about cd, then use tablet of choice, then use JBL MS8 processor or the Rockford Fosgate 3sisxty.3 then to amplifier. Granted you have to put amp in but the processor will fix sound quality and there is the iheart radio app, and siriusxm app. .... Yes this is more expensive but results would be smoother install and much cLeaner sound...just my 2 cents ive thought about this for a couple years now.

What's the price and does it make your heel slip around when it's planted?

$25 for AZ folks, plus shipping if you can't come down to LM to pick it up, or if driving that is impractical. I had to add some grip tape in strategic places to keep my heel planted because once they had a once over with the orbital sander, they were super slippery. The grip tape makes it MUCH better, no sliding around and your feet stay nicely planted.
