How figure?? the Supra will be a completely different class of car... likely to be much more luxurious, MUCH more powerful and a whole lot more expensive.

Toyota are now working with BMW and the revived supra is likely to be a 6cylinder+electric performance hybrid.

And unless you've been asleep during all the hype about AIMS, i'd be looking at the LF-LC to likely be the new "supra"

In my head I see the new Supra being more of a competitor to a 370z or BMW 135i. So the price range for that I would guess to be around 70k.
If they make a turbo 86, the power they could get from that with its weight being so low will create one hell of a monster. 0-100 times in under 5 seconds etc etc. The new Supra will probably be similar, but yes as you said more luxurious.
I dont think I'd call the Lexus a Supra. That kinda looks as if its a GTR competitor.

IMO the Supra should be accessible in price and an everyday 6cylinder sportscar like it always was. I cannot imagine Toyota making a Supra for well above 100K, although the GTR is up there and in supercar territory!

Using some random inflation calculator a MKIV Supra RZ RRP in today's values was about $90k.

There was a guy over on SupraForums who said his gen 4 turbo was $44 in 98, which would be $62,500 today according to the US Bureau of Labor and Stats.

Still an expensive car, for sure.
