i know that. there are also times when you are coming out of a third gear corner directly in a second gear corner and unless you have three hands, things get really tricky and you are forced to make a compromise somewhere.

If corners are taking you by surprise, you'll do well to work on looking farther ahead. If the corner you're on is blind and you can't see ahead, then unless you have the road memorized you should be taking the corner slowly enough to gracefully master anything that might be around it.

You can keep one hand on the wheel right? Even so, if you know you have to be in second gear for the second corner, shouldn't you downshift to that in the 3rd gear corner? If you're that high in 3rd gear, wouldn't the extra torque be beneficial when exiting the 2nd corner? I just find the situation hard to understand when it seems simple enough for a MT.

The way I see it is that between the twins the BRZ is targeting a slightly older crowd, one that will likely do little to no modifications to the car. Not saying no one will mod the BRZ but the added features are all things that people who mod cars generally replace anyways.
I bought an FR-S with the intention of modding it beyond a fart can exhaust and a silly intake. I knew the seats would eventually be upgraded to Sparcos or Brides where heaters arent really gonna work. I do my own stereo installs so the HU was gonna go anyways...etc. etc. The only thing the BRZ has that I want is the damn headlights, other than that the price for it was also a huge turnoff. Oh yeah, nice mooostache by the way
