Nameless is top notch quality (as well as Perrin). I went with Nameless because: price, LOVE the Axleback design and the fact that there is engineering thought and design put into the weird pipe runs, awesome customer service (I know Perrin has it too) and love the fact they made two exhaust pieces into one.

I don't really understand the whole "i like it because they think through the design put into the weird pipe design" or arguments to the like... Just seems to imply that the comparison doesn't do the same - in this case Perrin. I'm pretty sure that they do some pretty intensive R&D as well.
Not trying to pick a fight or anything, don't take it that way...

Furthermore, the reason I'm leaning more and more towards Perrin's resonated is that I'll be getting front and over (cat'd, but still) and if (hopefully WHEN) they release headers, I'll likely get those too. A combo of all those without the resonator might be a tad too loud and obnoxious. I'd rather have a system that is quiet but sounds great when I open the taps versus a system that sounds like a race car even during city driving. I'd probably have to shoot myself if that happened.

Of course if I could get the same sound as a non-resonated when I floor it or rev high, but maintain resonated levels during non hard driving times... man that would probably be ideal.

No offense taken. Maybe I value it a bit more because I am an engineer. By no means I meant Perrin did not do proper engineering design on their exhaust, I am SURE they did, its just that the exact reason for the weird pipe runs and size on Nameless is the definition of what I wanted from an exhaust (don't mean to say I wanted weird pipe runs LOL, what I wanted was an exhaust that didn't affect the tone the stock exhaust has, just that it took it and enhance it. Keeping the pipe runs exactly as stock and the ends "sizing" down as stock is what keeps the stock tone while enhancing it).

Even as I loved Nameless, it was a close call for me too between Nameless and Perrin, so I am by no means taking a shot a Perrin, they are awesome.

There is a groupbuy running for the axleback if you want it now. After adding the Axleback to your cart, input code groupbuyfrs

This will get you $50 discount. (You can choose offset or regular).
Offset/regular difference from their Facebook page:

Quote:
So far tested the standard (middle) vs the offset offset design (left). Changes the frequency positively. A little more growl up top around 4500-5000 pulling a 15% grade. Quieter at 3000-4000 on the same grade (frequency-wise).

LOL. Get the Crawford Gymkhana exhaust or even the Borla with a test pipe if you want obnoxiously loud. The videos of those exhausts has me just waiting to see the cops pulling up behind them.

If you did get the Perrin resonated, consider a midpipe. I did one and it finally got it just enough louder (uncatted) that I think its right. Windows down I can hear and enjoy it, windows up its pretty mellow and completely silent on the highway.

"Who looks under their car anyway?"

Umm... me??? Am I the only one that likes to look at my cars? Sometimes I like to lift the hood and just look at the motor. That goes for under the car too, when and if I can that is. Because of that fact, I just can't wrap my head around the nameless. IMHO (don't flame me for this) they should call themselves artless . I know, I know... sorry. :happy0180:

Again, IMHO, there should be an equal parts art and science behind things that are built my man. I mean have you guys seen, in person, a early 90's F1 1.8 V12 with it's beautifully crafted equal lenght headers??? It's a thing of beauty! I'm not saying they don't make a quality product or that their product doesn't make power. Just that I think they could have attempted to make it look a bit more pleasing to the eye.

Not going to flame you, after all you are entitled to your opinion. Just to let you know a bit about Nameless, one of their M.O. is Function over Form. Their Axleback is a great example of that. Remember, no company will make a product everyone will like. I LOVE the science and engineering thought put into the Nameless Axleback and it is EXACTLY what I wanted from an exhaust. There design was specifically and carefully engineered to keep the same note the car has, just enhance it. This is the only exhaust that has been designed with this exact purpose.

Um, have you compared the welding between Nameless and Perrin?
