Picked my car up today after being at the dealer for 2 weeks. They told me they were replacing a cam gear and an actuator. I picked the car up today and they said they
flashed the computer and no engine work was done. I put about 150 miles on it today and so far so good. The service writer told me a bulletin was going to be sent out next week to have all the cars with this problem re-flashed. I hope this is the fix,my car has spent more time at the service dept than my driveway.

I posted a separate thread for this, but I would hope we can get a large enough Facebook group together to add real name legitimacy to our claims. Time and time again, the companies are denouncing forum discussion and hearsay and exaggerations and we need a stronger voice to negotiate and settle this issue we are having with this new car.

Please read my post in the other thread and hopefully join the group. While I think this forum discussion is fantastic, I feel like we're all on our own when dealing with the Dealerships and Manufacturer contacts.

Your reasoning (and I use that term loosely) is that they won't listen to a mere forum, but they'll be brought to their knees by a Facebook page . . . ?

I'm noticing about a 4-5 mpg decrease since receiving the silver-bullet-holy-water-sprinkled-leprechaun-gold-unicorn-tear ECU.

But at least my CEL/slip hasn't come back...

I'm going to give it a few hundred more miles until I pass judgment.

Fix for the 00017 error message

I have a black limited 6 speed I posted earlier my issues it was brought into the dealership yesterday and was fixed in under 24 hours. They swapped the exhaust valve sensor from left to right and right to left and the light disappeared. They haven't got it to come back on and I got it back today with no lights. The idle is still rough but the gas mileage is normal again and I have what feels like full power. It does feEl like a tad less power but it's barely noticeable. The idle still dips and it feels a tad shaky at idle, everything else is g now tho.

In many states, it's 30 days in the first x months, period.

If my BRZ goes back but one day in the next 14 months, I can exercise my lemon law rights.

UPDATE: Sensor replaced but the light came back on, shocking I know. Dealer said new ECU is supposed to arrive on Monday. Hopefully that takes care of it. Good to know they probably took my engine apart for nothing

Curious how close to the 30 day mark were you when they sent you out of the shop?

Today i have been updated by the head supevisor of Scion HQ, apperantly since i had a major issue with the case manager that was originally asssiting me, they took it upon themselves to take me a step up from where i intially was on the PRIORTY LIST. well, long story short they have ordered an entirely NEW ECU for my vechicle with the update to install into my frs between the days of sept. 30 and oct. 3. The resaon they are installing a new ECU is simply due to the fact that the state of louisiana doesnt have any comp. to be able to do the flash or software update, so i guess this is there quickest fix, even though its the most expensive. AS for compisation from the supevisor for my inconvient expereince from there customer help services they are going to pay for my extended warranty and are giving me the entire FIVE-axis body kit fully painted and installed when i recieve my vehicle. this is written down and already agreeded. So, i figured if i do have a lemon car i might as well get what i can from scion, like the kit and then just declare lemon law, and recieve a new car with the kit, worst case i dont get a new car my car is fixed and i now have a five axis kit =). i dont think thats much worst tbh but w/e. ill be posting my paper work around the time i pick it up.

I dropped it off on Monday so I'm only on day 5. The light came on while they were testing so I didn't get it back at all.
