I couldn't bring myself to purchase a current WRX with the new model release just around the corner. That's a massive depreciation hit just waiting to happen

Cancelled my 86 order that I placed back in June because of the delivery issue (and "the you know what" issue), and subsequently got a Shiro White May 2012 build 370Z Coupe in quicksmart time (under a week from signing contract to delivery).

It's been almost a month now and loving it! The engine's just loosened up and pushing me to push it even harderrrrr!!

Interestingly I have been told that if I were to order a new one from Japan it would take SIX months to get it!

First order: Red GTS Manual ordered in July, probably over 12 months away.
Other car: Red GTS Manual, cancelled order, confirmed October production.
Current lease car due to be returned by December = I'm happy with that.

This is not good value for money. You can pick this car up like half the price it's selling for overseas. All the mark up is import taxes and our "limited" market demand. A RenaultSport Megane RS265 is a much more refined and better value for money car that doesn't have a cheap plastic interior. One thing the WRX does have is a super quick 0-100 time of 5.3 seconds.

I was comparing the Club Spec vs the standard. Comparing AUS pricing versus international pricing is not relevant. I had a budget of $65k and in terms of bang for buck (performance and styling) a WRX was my choice. I think it would be in most people's top 5.

I think the Renault Hatch is one of the ugliest cars on the road. Sedan WRX for me is a lot better looking. If I was hair styler I might think otherwise.

i changed my 86 GTS White MT ordered 20/6/2012 for a GTS Black AT that was available within a week of when i called (I picked it up in August).

My Mate swapped a Black GTS MT he ordered for a White GT MT (He had a 2 week wait and got it mid August).
