I have finally made a start on my audio upgrades, well post headunit upgrade. I have added 3-way component Focal Access speakers into the doors and dash, and coaxial Focal speakers in the rear, adding some sound deadening as i go. I also took the time to upgrade the door check straps to the GR86 versions.

Audio install finished, well mostly, the Scosche adpater I was using doesn't work and is throwing errors on the headunit, so will figure that one out, but other than that.

Amp is in, sub is in, interior is back together (mostly) and video is uploaded

I had a local smart repairer come and take care of some of the smaller issues on the car, including chips on the front lip and bumper

and this weird one I can't explain on the driver's side next to the rear window

Still not addressed these ones yet, which seem to be common complaints for 14Rs

Before installing the TRD Aero Stabilizing Cover onto the rear of the car, I have issues with things labelled TRD!

I raided my old box of mods, found a very old TRD keyring I forgot I had (2012) and installed a Verus fuel starvation door.

Can finally register it in march, so I will be focusing on the service items in the next few weeks.

The day is almost upon us MOT in coming, many service bits to do beforehand.

Also found this lurking under the car, so that was a nice discovery!

The day came and went, MOT day happened, here is a new video of how it went.

I also wanted to include a little of my history with finding/purchasing and the future registration of the car, hopefully help some others who are considering doing the same.

Also here are some shots of it in the wild for the first time.

Few mods in this one, added the TRD gearbox mount whilst I was doing the oil changes. Then headed to the engine bay to add the 2017+ intake manifold and the USDM TRD airbox, believe it or not I was never a fan of red accessories before this car!

Here is a before and after.

The 14R is now registered, been a busy time lately, my son had his tonsils removed and I have not been paid for a few bits of freelance work, so it isn't insured yet.

But private plates are on, added a rear emblem and put some of my old stored accessories in the glovebox ready for the road.

Excellent additions to the build and love to see more.

Excited to see what the sneak peak part is. Possibly TRD brembos?

Just realised I didn't share my update!

Gave the wheels a good clean up and wax, do a bit of a deep dive on them and install the TRD canards to the front bumper, wasn't scary at all

Great build.

Thanks for documenting so much.
We are going to start losing information on these soon.

Ah thank you, yea I used to love doing the full-on picture heavy forum posts on my builds, but this seems more "current" and easier to engage (even if it is with a tiny audience)

My TRD has an STi! Well I have added some more STi parts anyway, trailing arms and a TRD sticker to each door (wasn't happy with first one's placement so new one ordered for that side!

If anyone is available, I will be at Brands Hatch for GoJapan, would love to see you there.
