We have a 46” Sharp that we bought new late in 2008. Just a few months later the George Takei “Oh MY” commercials started to air. Once again we were ahead of the curve.
We were going to buy a bigger TV for our theatre room after we gave our Sony 46” to our oldest daughter. However, life kept getting in the way. The wife ended up taking everything down and boxing it up.
She keeps pointing out these great deals on BIG TV’s but I say why spend money when the old Sharp is still working fine after 17 years.

Was in Sam's again today. They have it on sale with a $400 off coupon. It is now $1,299.

Another warm day here.

Last week, one of my garage doors openers quit. It's Craftsman that was installed in 1991. Unlike our Twins, they made these things easy to work on. I already had an extra new gear from when the opener on my wife's side crapped out a couple of years ago. Big surprise, I knew where to find it.

It was about an 1.5 hour job. Very satisfying to finish a job with only 3-4 bad words.

Well, another expensive lesson. I just bought a new washer a couple weeks ago. Dryer was fine. Now the dryer is making screeching noises as it spins, and not heating up well, so R.C. Willy is delivering the matching LG dryer this morning. I'm sure I spent much more buying them separately.
