Largest tire that clears?

So I have been thinking about maybe turning my car into a rallycross brz next year and wondering what size tires have people stuffed under their car. Flatout coilovers can give me a 2" lift and Falken has a few wild peaks that are 26.3"-27.2" tall. With a lift I can probably stuff them under. I currently drive around with 255/40/17s. Shockingly info is rather hard to find on this.

Thinking about trying a 235/55/17 or 215/60/17.

I honestly think that at this point wheel arch depth will be the biggest offender. Height shouldn't be much of a problem since like you said you can adjust suspension height and stiffness to compensate but I believe you could get into rubbing issues at full lock simply because arches may not be wide enough to fit bigger, rotated wheel. It could probably be mitigated by adjusting max steering limits. Kind of opposite to what you do for drift with angle kits. Fenders can be replaced with widebody variants, which also might be necessary to provide more space for everything.

There are people using 19" wheels on BRZ so idk... I believe it should be doable but might not be as straightforward. You could probably mock some test dummy by putting cardboard cutouts in size of 26.3" on your existing wheels and see whether it rubs somewhere at full lock.
