they said to take everything out of all the boxes, which is also a huge no-no to me.

mb's especially come with all sorts of accessories and add-ons. i always assembled one part at a time, entirely emptying the boxes as the parts were installed so i didn't miss anything.

I feel like everyone is copying this style of case. I've seen this variation or type from Lian Li, Hyte, Asus, and now NZXT.

I'm not a fan of "glass" cases because most of the time I have my computer out of sight, but it's almost impossible to buy a decent case any longer that doesn't have at least one glass panel.

I'm pretty sure most of those cases are for people who want to show their stuff off or do an RGB build. I just don't like that they take up such a wide footprint.

I think there are quite a few options for non-LED parts. Noctua and BeQuiet are two brands that come to mind for me. They are quiet, perform great, and they are subdued. Though yes, RGB is everywhere these days.

But does RGB exist if you're colour blind? I'm off to the philosophy thread.

Technically yes lol. Even if it was cliche black and white, you'd see the shifts in greys just not pretty colors. But I wouldn't know. I'm blind.

I'm sure there's a grey market for that sort of thing.

i used to think colorblind meant zero color. then i learned my coworker is, and my brother-in-law is.

my coworker can't see certain shades of brown/purple/red, they all look the same.

my brother-in-law can't see yellow as well.

I found this out when I went through Airborne School. I always thought it was like a black-grey-white thing. But nah, colors just appear differently which is bizarre.

yep, it does lead to a phycological question to "is what i'm seeing really what everyone else is seeing, and who's really wrong about what 'blue' is?"

my co-worker didn't know he was colorblind until 2 years into electrical work, and he started when he was 22.

I have an undergrad degree in Philosophy and wrote my senior paper on that very idea. The basic theory was we all agree what "blue" (or any color) is simply because we all call it that. However, if you saw "blue" through my eyes, you could very well think it is "green".
