As a browser, yup. I use Firefox containers quite a bit. And since I have to use Facebook for club (autox) stuff, the FB container is also helpful since it runs inside other containers (basically all FB code runs in the FB container with walls around it.) So there are tracking behaviors that don't work as well in Firefox.
I'm not tinfoil-hat paranoid, but my day job is mostly building stuff to work in the browser. The number of things which *should* work but don't when strict no third-party tracking is enabled astounds me. Like those images from twitter...

I haven't watched NCIS in so long that I didn't even know NCIS Hawaii was a thing. That said, I am glad it sounds like they accepted how bad their attempts to illustrate hacking were in past series, and are just leaning into the meme of it. At least I hope that is the case.

Hawaii is a new show that basically replaced NCIS: New Orleans which frankly was a better show/cast than Hawaii.

The plot involved a ransomware attack against the utility infrastructure of Hawaii. It was all a ploy to capture the guy that wrote all the core code for every facilities system in the world (code name "The Rook", the Torvalds of some mythical industrial OS) who had gone off grid after becoming disillusioned with how his code was being used, and just happened to live in Hawaii in a barn and restored old guitars.

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Reality: You don't even need the source code for all ICS (if such a thing existed) because someone, somewhere, has made the admin portal of a company's system internet accessible with a default password you can find via a Google search. Just so they can check from a personal device without having to use the company VPN. If there even is one.

The best way to ruin entertainment trying to be dramatic about something is to know too much about the topic they're portraying. I was hoping they agreed to being campy about the cyber stuff, but it seems more like they doubled down on trying to take it seriously. Which means I guess I know what questions I'll be answering at Christmas dinner this year.
