I came thisclose to buying a GC but a couple things made me pause enough to look elsewhere...
1. the turbo lag on the 2.0 was too much. I have another car that has a 2.0 with a turbo and it virtually no turbo lag. 2. the Hyundai dealers I visited were all ****s despite wanting to move their remaining 2012 models by discounting them. ...I'm sure I would have been happy with the 2012 GC (I don't like the front end of the 2013) but I'm sure I'm happier with my FR-S. |

I honestly thought the gc was great bang for it's buck and close to purchasing it, but you can blame the dealerships for losing a sale. Glad too because I never would have found the frs. I think the gc is an awesome car and don't understand how some ppl can say they would need drive x car because it's from a certain brand. When a company makes leaps and bounds to improve their image, ppl are going to take notice.
I never say another car is shitty and is overhyped, it's simply a different car with different performance and you pay for what you get. Not everybody needs 274hp and not everybody can live with 200hp. Honestly the only reason I picked up an frs is because of it's exterior and I had the hardest time test driving a gc. |

I would be an owner of an FRS/BRZ if not for the slow ass speed, can't do it! Not everyone drifts on the way to work everyday lol

Not everybody needs 348hp and some need to take Gas guzzling into account, personally i don't see when i would ever need 348hp and I'm sure the extra 10k makes a difference for those on a budget. but at that price I can be getting a 3 series or c class also. then of course you'll just have ppl in a 3 series looking at a 3.8gc like nice try. Sigh*

The genesis was a nice, solid car. Great looks, wonderful power, nice interior, solidly made. The suspension sucked on anything other than a perfect road surface, no other way to describe it. Heavy too. No feedback. Never had any confidence in the handling on tight stuff. Here's the amount of freeplay before engaging the bump stop: ![]() WTF is that about? Who does that? What's worse is the aftermarket never materialized and unless you were a "wheel gap obsessed/must lower my car" type of douchebag there were no options for improving the suspension. Another problem was the manual transmission. They were so bad I went with the automatic. I like them both but I'll take the FR-S any day. |

Well said Dr! Hell, I don't hate on Harley guys because they don't ride a crotch rocket. Riding is riding; on what, makes no difference. You like what you like, and damn anyone that says different! |
