Lol mine is 9 years old at this point with the exception of the water cooler and GPU which are 4 years old.

My wife's PC is running on the original graphics card I had in 2012. She needs an upgrade pretty badly lol

Until I built a new one last year, my PC was 10 years old, with a 3 year old video card and it played all I threw at it at 1920x1080 with no problem. It's now moved on to a second life with my in-laws, who think I gave them the world's fastest PC since the I7 replaced their equally as old I3 system.

It probably doesn't help that any time I get on my PC I'm usually playing the same old games anyway, with maybe a few exceptions.

I only recently built a computer because I felt the 30-series were a substantial upgrade from my 1080.

I have a 1060 6gig and haven't found a need to really upgrade yet.

Control was taxing my 1080 pretty good, so I found that as reason enough. God forbid I tried to run Cyberpunk 2077 or Metro Exodus on max.

I ended up trying Genshin Impact on my desktop, and I'm addicted.

Too bad the max fps is set to 60.

It's a good game, but... Mihoyo is scummy and treat it more like a mobile gacha, which it is, than like a decently funded full on RPG, which it pretends to be.

End game is riddled with bad RNG, but once you gear two dps characters well enough, there is no longer a point to playing the end game content.

Yeah, its definately a gacha game. But they are addicting for a reason haha

I'm not too bothered by RNG after playing POE for so many years lol

the only thing that's killing me is the limited resin.

I feel like I got lucky on when I upgraded my parts. I grabbed a GTX 1660 Super and Ryzen 5 just before the nonsense set in and people starting buying everything for crazy prices (upgraded from a GTX950 and old AMD 6 core). I looked up prices for a 1660 now and can't believe it's in the $700 range.

And after 5 months on the sea of thieves, a lot has changed from my first post in this thread 25 pages ago lol. This game is beautiful at 140 frames.

1660 Super is pretty powerful. I got one from PNY, even though is single Fan it doesn't go past 55 Degrees under heavy loads. Haven't even used afterburner for it yet,

Mine is also a single fan (but asus) and it seems to do great work across a few games (COD, SOT, FallGuys lol)
