Well we honestly don't even know how much this motor can handle yet. Of course you can guess because of the compression, but we'll never really know until we start blowin shit up!

Stock for stock the Honda will destroy the 86.

Add a turbo to the 86 and they'll be very similar.

Add a turbo to the Honda and well, you get the idea.

I highly doubt that. We're talking a 25-30 WHP difference at stock with a power curve favoring the 86.

It's interesting, when I owned an S2k the only thing people ever talked about was how dog ass slow they were. Fast forward ten years and suddenly they've become blisteringly fast.

I would agree with this.. I used to have a B16 swapped eK civic with bolt-ons that ran 15.0 and it was pretty much a dead even race with every stock S2000 I saw.

You also have to keep in mind that the S2000 has been out for 12 years.. tuning options and availability is essentially limitless at this point... basically anything you want to do can be done, assuming your wallet is deep enough.

The 86 is so new... and running only on 4 psi right now. You have to imagine that things will change pretty dramatically within the next year. Once Don and John get the tuning aspect worked out we'll be seeing what 8-10 psi looks like and I think that will compare pretty similarly to an average street turbo set up in an s2k.

Its all a matter of perspective, they are blistering fast compared to our 86's

I'm pretty sure the Diff is Toyota's IS300 or atleast very similar. I've had plenty of those with 600+HP.

As long as you don't put slicks on it and drag race I bet were alright. The trans on the other hand is a worry for me.

I don't see what the suprise is, S2000 would hang on to my WRX stage 2 (without launch) almost even plus the BRZ/FRS is DAMN slow on a straight.

Turbo will work on and AT he just can't verify it will all bolt up. Since the tranny is different it might be a larger tranny meaning longer pipes or different bends. Which means this kit won't boot up.
