Always give them a choice.

For the six year old, "do you want to clean up the mess you just made or do you want to help me change the babies poopie diaper"?

For the 3 year old, "do you want to take a short nap or a long nap with me"?

For the baby, change its diaper, then stick a bottle of milk in it's mouth till it spits up, then burp it, then stick a pacifier in it's mouth - it will go right to sleep.
