You can still drive a car without seat belts if it was built that way. A lot of stuff will be Grandfathered in. At least that’s what past history tells us. Rats rods as an example.

We can now think of the AT car as evolution! Of course, so was the engine crank...(An attempt at staying on topic)

That's OK, I wasn't sure if you were referring to the other boxer engined machine I recently purchased that I had posted on before here.

No new cars though, although I'm thinking about replacing my 2004 Suburban.

Absolutely, but I haven't seen anything from AT drivers saying the MT should die. I think just about everyone on here would support it having a long life.

Unfortunately, I think the writing is on the wall though. I mean, I'd love if you could still buy a base car with no "features" like electric windows/locks/push button start and still had the hi/low beam button on the floor. Also wish you could still buy a truck with a 3 or 4 on the tree. Unfortunately the market and changing fuel economy requirements (driving the numbers of gears in a transmission) has spoken and the ability to do that is no longer available due to feature bloat.

If I were running a car company I know that as much as I would hate it, I would have to put my R&D where the most ROI is, and that is not in manual transmissions.

Get 'em while you can, and hopefully they will be available right through the electric car overlords taking over.

I couldn't find this information. (Reversing the AT manual mode stick +,- behavior.) Can you help me please?
So no one has ever reversed a 2017+ AT BRZ manual mode + - pattern?

Only because no one seems to want to read things on my tablet...

(OK, maybe the floorboard switch was a step too far, some things actually to improve when changed....)

That would be a dream for drivers like us. A "superleggera," a true "speedster" or a "Type-R." It would be do-able — imagine a stripped-down FR-S or MX-5 — and it might sell enough to make it worthwhile.

electric cars are not going to take over before nuclear power becomes the majority of our power plants. No power grid on earth could even be able to handle having 2 electric cars on every street, never mind every street full of them.

Power demands have dropped causing a lot of coal plants to shutdown. Wait until everyone has electric cars and then they will wish they didn’t shut them down and level them.

Pretty sure politics was more involved than power demands.

you can get the new red manifold, which seems to actually make power, and a header always adds power, and then a tune. If it is worth it is totally up to you.
