Are the pins in your connector secure? Unplugging and replugging may have been what solved the issue... just a thought.

That was one of my initial thought. The harness to the MAF is a bit tight, and the engine torquing on its mounts pulls on the airbox which is mounted to the chassis (another reason I want to move to CAI), so the engine could have been pulling on the connector enough to slightly unseat it or something. I fed it as much slack as I could when I re-installed the MAF. It ran fine for about 15 miles today, but I had to park it to travel for work and won't be able to mess with it again for a few more days. |

Hi Gents,
Sorry to interrupt the flow. I've posted a dyno chart in dedicated thread with graphs before, and after the installation. It showed around 285HP/ 335Nm (247lb-ft) at the engine. Stock exhaust and engine, on 102 RON fuel. What do You think, optimistic, dyno cheat, or as expected? Now only one thing is on my mind - forged con-rods and bearings, or not

Both but mostly idle. I don't want to jinx it as I haven't taken a new ECU log yet, but I let it idle for about 5 minutes and did not get a CEL. I took the throttle body, intake tube and all vacuum lines off. Notice that the throttle body was fairly black underneath. Indication of oil blowby. Only had the charger on 10,000 miles or so. Surprised there was that much. Definitely need a catch can.
I cleaned the throttle body and put hose clamps on every vacuum line at both ends. Noticed my evap hose had not been fully seated. So far no CEL. I have a dedicated thread regarding my lean conditions. Will update it later once I make a determination. |

Just make new lines. Legnth doesnt matter so much... I mounted mine off the passenger strut tower.
