Probably won't find one. Can't remember ever making butter, but can't remember ever buying peach schnapps either, so never know.

Good news on the chicken front. After 3 months, broody girl Mary was out of the box this morning. I think she is finally giving it up.

Well, back on the farm, when I was a toddler, my mother would fill that thing 3/4 full of raw milk/cream and place it on the kitchen floor. Then she would set me down beside it and tell me to crank on it. When I would say my arm was tired, she would turn it around and tell me to crank on it with the other arm.

I would ask her …… how much longer do I have to crank the handle …….. she would reply, till it won't turn no more. After the handle wouldn't turn no more, my grandfather would take it, set me up on the kitchen counter and "work" the whey out of it with a wooden paddle and put it into a bowl.

THE END

Same, for my grandfather who participated at 16 years old after escaping the Holocaust in Germany. He nearly drowned during the landing on the shore.

Found a airplane size bottle of Makers Mark. I don't drink whiskey. Where did that come from?

Edit:I remember now. I bought it to make whiskey peppercorn sauce. I wonder if Johnny Walker Blue would make good sauce?

She was tapping on the sliding glass door at 5:45 this morning wanting treats. Spoiled chickens.
