I plan on doing a S-ho loop thursday. @Clipdat, I'll be in the Lotus if you want to join in. Meet under the carousel at Cambrian plaza (union and camden) about 6:30. Route will be union to 85 to 17 to dry creek to 9 to boulder creek. A pint at Joe's then back down 9 thru saratoga, back to 17 and home. The whole trip takes about an hour. Anyone who reads is welcome. I just keep the speed limit, no racing.

I tell people who are into Tesla and self driving cars all the time. All's great until some actor figures out how to send the "TURN LEFT NOW" command to all cars simultaneously at rush hour. It's not a matter of if, but when. Think of the economic impact if every single car (or even just one make or model of car) were to crash. God forbid self-driving emergency vehicles.

Isn't that a metaphor? Like it's not a reference to an actual explosion, but rather the sudden diversification of animal life on Earth... So a where would be all of Earth...

You assume the self driving part is connected... It might be, but it shouldn't be. There's a reason sensor data and events in these crashes has to be pulled from the car though.

I mean, my iPass (ezpass) is basically a digital-ish (electronic) vehicle identifier.
