Then it s more difficult task, shiv put the 2 maf after-start compensations ( in gear and neutral) the same, like other tuners do but i notice too that when you press the clutch and put a gear in, it tends to "accelerate" a bit on its own when car is still cold, not that much just a bit
My tuner fixed it compensating the (after start in gear) map My guess would be there are some maps that act on it but they are not defined yet Anyway you have this problem all the time? maybe it subsides a bit with time |

It definitely subdued after drive the car around a bit. After been parked for over an hour at the gym it was still noticeable but definitely not as obvious as the morning start. Mine is an AT btw.

Anybody else found their MPG drop on the v4.03 tunes? On E85 I'm only getting about 15mpg since switching. On the old v2.076 tune I got around 18mpg on average.

Just to follow up switching from the v4.01 to v4.02 the code no longer pops up. So something was tweaked in the tunes. I couldn't find v4.03 for K00C on their site im guessing that revision is for the AT guys.

Well damn it the code popped up again after driving 200 miles p2270. Everything I read is that its to do with the rear 02 sensor behind the cat reading lean? I thought the front sensor is for reading air fuel ratio, the back was just for if the cats are working or not. This is really baffling me only thing that I changed was the tune, going from the v3 beta to the new v4.02. Never had a code on the old tune.

I have been running the new v4 stg 2+ tune for over a month. I'm using Canadian Shell 91 octane. My IAM goes to 1 after 25min of driving. My questions are. Is the IAM set lower for fuel grades and to allow the engine to warm up to operating temp for expansion reasons?. Also if the ecu is learning the fuel grade, does it also adjust the timing for knock across the rev range? For example it knocks below 3k rpm so keeps the IAM at .7 and then detects no knock above 3500 rpm so advances it to 1 IAM above 3500. Probably a stupid question but, insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Well I drove for ~6 months through a harsh winter with out any issues at all on the V3. Only thing changed was the new tune. I will check underneath the car to see if Coincidentally a wire got frayed or melted the exact same time I loaded the new tune |

Thanks Codename47, and Jasonb. One more thing. Shell 91 octane is the highest none ethanol blend in Canada. My IAM always goes to 1 after 25min. Would it be acceptable to change the initial IAM to 0.9000. Also do I need to change any other table when changing just the initial IAM?

Is there anything I can do or check?? I will double check all connections pipewise and 02 wise Also my Advance multiplier starts at .7 everytime and takes 20 mins to jump up. Im on 93 octane. Went to .84 today during hour commute, Highest Ive seen it is .96. Is it normal to reset everytime I turn off the car? |

P2270 is not a "normal " code you would expect from removing a cat. https://www.obd-codes.com/p2270 That code indicares you have a real problem like exhaist leak or bad o2 sensor or incoreectly installed front 02 sensor and it constantly reading lean afr. If you getting that code you would also expect to see high positive fuel trims. P0420 is the code for cat efficiency. Post up a log of tune With parameters below cruise idle and a wot run to redline V4 tune iam intial is set to 0.7 so each time car stopped it resets to 0.7 Engine Speed (rpm) Throttle (percent) MAF Voltage (volts) Engine Load (g/rev) Ignition Advance / Total Timing (degrees) AFR Commanded AFR / Target AFR STFT (percent) LTFT (percent) Oil Temp (F) CL/OL / Fuel Sys Status (2 = CL, 4 = OL) IAT / Intake Air Temp (F) IAM / Ignition Advance Multiplier FLKC / Fine Learning Knock Correction (degrees) |
