For toyota, the 86 is their only new 2 door. Correct me if I am wrong.... The 2 door yaris is listed as a "3 door" on toyotas web site.

hey, the dealership told me the ATF was lifelong and required no change -- even though the service book I had IN MY HAND told me 60,000 that I showed him.

Toyota service advisors are interesting people.

Ha! The original post is great. I had a very similar experience that I wrote about on a different thread http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119474. I'll repost an excerpt here because it just cracks me up:

I did get fog lights installed by the dealer as an extra option when buying the car. I have a mixed experience. It took a week to order them and the salesman said to call the service department to schedule an appointment. I got a "Who's on First" comedy routine:

"I need foglights installed on my 86."
"An 86 what?"
"A Toyota 86."
"But an 86 what?"
"That's the model."
"No, what kind of car is it?"
"A Toyota"
"A Toyota what?"
"86."
"On a used car?"
"No, it's brand new. I just bought it and have the installation of fog lights included."
"On an 86."
"Yes."
"An 86 what?"

I swear it went on like that for a while till I explained that it was not the year but indeed a model of car that Toyota actually sells. He never heard of them. I was doubtful of their ability to service my car properly and was proven right.

The Toyota dealership near me has a corvette and some sort of BMW on display at the front of the lot. They had a few twins parked together too for a bit but they must have sold one of them, just 2 there the last time I drove past.

Because Toyota has made a bunch of 2 door cars over the years; some cool and some not. And the fact that the 86, (back on topic for a second) is the only two door they make/offer right now. It seems like it would be memorable to any toyota employee.

Compared to all other 2017 toyotas; what would you pick as the best looking?

Ask that on a camry forum (which after the face lift, looks better than the 86imo).
