Same issue whenever I'm behind an Infiniti G37.

Same here but the plowed snow usually lasts through the warm spells.

Sometimes hard to realize that I am only 2 degrees north of you

You - 40.7608° N
Me - 42.9849° N

If I could drive straight down to you it would only be about a two hour drive at 70 mph.

Well, I'm surrounded by mountains, so weather will be totally different from you.

Really? Only 2 degrees? But realistically speaking it'll be 6~7hrs drive?

Yep and I am surrounded by lakes so that impacts it as well.
There are roughly 70 miles between each degree of latitude. This of course varies slightly depend on where you are on the curve but is close enough. So if I could drive in a straight line (or fly I guess) at 70 mph it would only be two hours.

Northern Utah also has the lake effect from the Great Salt Lake, so that affects the snow amounts as well.

I've learned that, if your travel is limitied, you really tend to learn georgraphy regionally. That is, people from the southern US couldn't put the all the northeastern states on a map. People here in Pittsburgh couldn't tell Alabama from Georgia from Mississippi. Having spent most of my time in the south, I had a lot to learn when I moved up here.

A few months ago, I was flying out to meet the lady friend in Denver. Somehow, I had a connection in Chicago. Never been before, but I knew that it was in the state of Illinois. So, we're flying into the airport, preparing to land, and we cut this bank and all of a sudden I was like "WTF Is this big ass ocean?!"

Most Americans, even those in the Northern States have no clue that much of Canada's population lives well south of them.

A big part of the misconception we are all way north is the way the US map is usually presented.

The white area in the center of the Great Lakes and stretching to the east coast looks like it is just part of them and really small.

When see together with Canada it is obvious that it is actually huge and sticks well down into the US.
