Didn't get much done today but I did accomplish riveting the frame rail caps into place. I just have to scuff up, clean, seam seal, and paint that areas.

Once I have my fender lined up... I'll use these lines to center the hole...I'll use this method in a few other areas as well...

Oh... I also ordered some fancy hardware for my fender installs.

Passenger side frame rail cap and seams sealed... I'll do the other side tomorrow...

I masked the area off then I used Dynatron 570 Auto Seam Sealer by 3M. I purchased it on Amazon.

Instead of sealing the driver side frame rail and cap... I got busy on the gas tank door modification required to fit the overfender.

I drilled out the rivets to release the gas tank door assembly...

I scuffed up the edges here... I have yet to seal the gas door area though...

You could see the existing seal between the panels in this pic...

I completed this part of my wide body installation provisions today... I'll let it dry then I'll sand it, prime it, and paint it.

Next I need to seal the driver side frame rail cap then make the suspension clearance cuts on the rear fenders.

Looks like I'm closing the year out without getting to my rear quarter cuts. I need to jack up my ride and remove the rear bumper, fender liners, and wheels but it is too cold to open my garage to do so. So I just marked my cuts on both sides and finished sealing my driver side frame rail cap. I'll probably wait until the weather warms up before moving forward with this portion of the installation provisions.

I may just start fitting the driver side fender or start working on the front bumper in the meantime so I can continue to make progress.

I didn't get anything done today but I did pick up another work stand (4th) and a dual 500 watt lamp which creates enough heat to keep me toasty as well as my work area lit.

I hope to make some progress during the week.

Lol Well... I'm only going to sport the skirts and fenders... plus those parts will be replica so spend the extra $2450 and get the real thing... then we'll be different but the same! lol I was doing the math and I forgot to add shipping... I paid less than the advertised price for my kit so I actually saved $2750 over the authentic kit! More money for my SSRs or Works, tires, and a fresh paint job!

This replica kit victory9racing is my first and you know how detailed I am... I will vouch for this kit because fitment so far has been damn near spot on! I've done very little to get my passenger side front fender to fit where I'll be happy with it.

I was going with the rep too. I checked into a split up kit also. I have a Verus splitter in the front and I think I'm going for a Charvonia or similar diffuser. Plus I have Rocket Bunny v1 wing so I don't want half of the SN kit. Just bought a house so who knows when I'll actually be able to afford any of this. 2k in wheels, about 2k in the kit, +vinyl, diffuser, tires, etc. I was gonna wrap mine since I can't afford paint.

What were you doing with the frame rail and that cap? Did you cut it back or?

I drilled out the spot welds on the frame rails and released the caps. Then I cut the frame rails back with a cutting wheel. I then reinserted the caps...riveted the caps into place then taped off and sealed with automotive seam sealer. Easy!

Pics in my earlier posts...

I cut my rear quarters today... finally! I just need to tack weld the slits into place, cut off the excess, then seal it up.

To seal up the area... I think I'll do something I saw in a YouTube video by Osaka Dreams. Their install was for a RBv3 but the work applies. What they did was fiberglass the area to seal it. I was going to just use seam sealer but doing this will give me practice for when I get to the molding.

I'm still leaning towards molding everything... rear quarters, front bumper, spoiler and maybe even my TRD fender garnishes.

I'll post pics today sometime...
