Done, I also sent one to ask them to re-class my 2017 car to DS, since I can't have any SSC fun.

As I understand it, they will call you and ask for your SCCA # to confirm. If you don't have one they will cancel the order.

Me too. Hopefully we can scare them into not restricting it.

I don't think they are looking to ban cat-backs in SSC to begin with. (I asked about them at Nationals and was told they would be fine.)

I know the roll-out was not that polished but the fact that we are worrying about things that won't give anyone a real advantage over the field is a good sign.

The only gray area that needs clarification is the exclusion of TRD parts. I asked if they would be allowed because they are "stock " in CS, and was told they would clarify that they are not allowed.

I would have liked to save some money and time by keeping my TRD springs, but I understand why they will be excluded. For all my questions, that was the only "bad news" I got.

I am still cleaning up from the hurricane, but I intend to start prepping for SSC soon. (I hope they name the tire soon too)

A tire decision is pretty much the last thing I'm waiting on to decide if I'll switch or not. Thankfully I've got awhile to do prep, since we will be entering winter mode soon.

No autocross, but thank God for ice racing!

One concern I have with having a spec tire is what happens on rainy days?

Will we be allowed to switch to a rain tire like the Conti DW or will that mean a bump to STX straight away?

Bring another set that's full tread.

Welcome to Spec Class...

You run the spec tire rain or shine. At the very least, everyone is running the same tire.

If you're that worried, do what what M0nk3y said and bring another set with full tread.

Got the SSC build all set up, we'll see how this goes at our local event weekend after next. We'll be happy to share any info we find in going through the process if anyone has any questions. As noted before, I don't think most of the SEB has much vision on this at this point, so any specifics anyone hears is likely just early rumors.

I'd be asking about swaybar options, one aftermarket bar per street rules? Does OE count as aftermarket? Can I run Eibach front and aftermarket rear? Eibach front OE rear? Or are you stuck with Eibach F/R or OE F/R and no alternatives?

Whoever figures out tire pressures, alignment, bars, and damper settings first will be up front.

I'd been led to believe by an SEB member that exhaust would be okay but it doesn't hurt to send the letter. If enough potential SSC competitors ask for exhaust, brake pads, and drop-in filter to be open then I don't see why they would restrict it unless TireRack (or another sponsor) is pushing for that.

Sweet!

Was looking forward to someone installing everything and giving feedback, just didn't expect it quite so soon. haha

You've got a new follower on FB, btw

You may run spec parts or OEM in any location where a spec part is listed. If no spec part covers the specific modification you may run street allowances. I think their rule covers it just fine right now that you can run Eibach F/R bars or OEM only. So you can run just one Eibach bar if you so choose.
