I always did 3, 3, and 2, 2.

ebrake: pull, pull, pull and hold
brake: press, press, press and hold
ebrake: pull, pull and hold
brake: press, press and hold = lights come on

Like others said, must be up to temp. Or, just buy a 2017 and use the button

I prefer my 2013 FRS over the new 86 as well, for the same reason. That's why I got a 17 BRZ instead 😁

After that, I figured that turning off the nannies totally, wouldn't be good for me or my car .....

Reminds me of the time very early on in the 86 career that I wondered if TRC Off + VSC Sport in the wet was a good idea.

It's not.

Well, when I had my NC Miata, the model I had, didn't have any nannies, nor limited slip differential.

I felt more comfortable in pushing it because I knew where the limits were and exactly how the car would react when they were exceeded. Also, I knew how to "handle" the situation - because of many years of rear wheel driving experience.

With my FR-S, with the nannies ON, I'm never sure WHAT the car is going to do or WHEN it's going to do it, if I push it.

When I have the nannies sort of OFF, ...... I'm just not real comfortable pushing it.

Maybe it's age, maybe it's maturity, maybe it's just the lack of guts ......

Ya'll must be about medium rare by now..??

Now, that reminds me a back-in-the-day story. We were at Fort Irwin, CA (just south of Death Valley), during August maneuvers. The temperatures were getting up into the mid 120s degree Fs.

Our jeep radios would overheat and even with their internal fans running, wouldn't transmit. My RTO had a brilliant fix. He went back to the PX and secured a bunch of cardboard soda cartons. When they were placed upside down over the PRC 46 radios, they just fit. So, when kept moist by water from our canteens, the radios would cool down so we could communicate.

THE END

humfrz

I am getting worried about you, you have been reminiscing way too much recently.
