What tinny overtones? What are you talking about? I've got no tinny overtones, only nice deep growl and rumble on stock headers front and overpipe. Nothing tinny to be heard here. If I can get only one thing across it's that there is nothing bad sounding about this exhaust: no rasp, to drone, no high tones. People love it in person.

I've heard that if you combine this with the Ark test pipe then it gets raspy, but I just have the catback and stock everything else.

Honestly if I hadn't found the Ark I would've gotten the Corsa as they sound the same through the internet and youtube compression

^^^^I went the other way, UEL, OP and Berk fast cat and kept the rest stock (UK). On start up it's loud but quickly quietens down, on normal driving its much like stock and the offbeat growl comes when it goes beyond 3k but it's not tinny, just fruity... BTW I haven't done the tune, it's planned..

I just got my borla cat [140496] back exhaust set up and im loving it the sound is great i got the borla set up because i want to put their headers on in the next year or so. it not loud but just right for me. the kit cost me 718 dollors from amazon with tax and all. I have no plans on putting on a turbo so really was not anything to think about.

Don't bother with an exhaust now if youre gonna turbo it. You will want a 3" exhaust when that comes. Save the 650 and do something else or save for the turbo

N1's are loud. At the same diamater + pricepoint, I would go with the Magnaflows.

even with a turbo acting as a muffler, once you go catless header it's going to be awfully loud with an N1.. you could probably find a Perrin resonated CBE used for about 650. Its one of the better-sounding exhausts out there IMO. Invidia Q300 is about that much brand new.
If i were you, I'd stretch the budget a bit and pay for a properly resonated exhaust. This car really isn't powerful enough to warrant the volume from an N1. Just my 0.02.
As far as the diameter.. you probably wont run into a great deal of restriction from just the catback. A lot of guys like to run the 3" pipe all the way back, but 2.36" (thank you google conversion) is still wider than stock so as long as you're tuned properly post-turbo I don't see it being a problem.
