I really doubt they're functioning as good as new. I don't care what shocks you have or what springs they're paired with. Shocks' performance degrades with usage. Just because you don't notice the degradation doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

True. Figure of speech more than an accurate appraisal. They are not leaking, they have not blown and there is no discernible difference in the ride of the car. Just because they eventually degrade does not mean they are not still functioning fine even if not like new. I have retired a couple of cars with 400K on the original shocks without a single issue or any noticeable change in function.

@Tcoat is that picture of your car on RSR springs? In another thread you posted pics of your car on TRD springs using the same pictures: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...55&postcount=6

TCoat what do you plan on doing once they go out? I'm thinking either B8s or Konis...leaning more towards B8s though.

I really don't know to be honest. Up until just two weeks ago I planned to trade it in at the 5 year mark like I have done with my last 4 cars. Figured I would get 5 years out of them easily since most of my miles are highway and not really straining them. I have now decided that I am going to hang onto this car until it just isn't worth fixing (my wife was pleased as she starting thinking of the saved $$$$$$ from no payments) so will probably need to think about replacements after all. I would probably go with Sachs for a reason I really can't say here (lets just say I get a discount and leave it at that). Will have to do some more research to see if the discount is worth it though.

Meh they make new ones. I am keeping it because I like it! It doesn't have a droppy nose.

Besides being Scion it will be a valuable collector's item in 10 years.

Are you sure they are real people not "special" people?

This.

I always thought Seattle had shitty roads until I moved to LA. edit: I always thought LA had shitty roads until I moved to DC. I can't imagine Sportlines lasting on stock struts more than a few months out here. I frequently feel the bumpstops with my Bilstein & Swift Spec R setup.
