Well naturally someone as simple as myself could never understand how waiting for a deer to wander by so you can shoot it is far superior to waiting for an enemy player to wander by so you can "shoot" them.

The only difference is self imparted value. There is no inherent gain to hunting or fishing over any other "sport" (including video games) because we don't rely on those skills to survive.

I taught my sons and daughter how to catch fish, clean them and fry them in an iron skillet over an open fire. Nothing like fresh trout, cooked in butter, in an iron skillet over an open fire, while being with your kids, outside in the woods.

Before our daughter came along, I would take my sons turkey hunting in Missouri. After they shot a bird, I showed them how to soak it in hot water, pull the feathers off, singe off the pin feathers over flaming newspaper, dress it out and prepare it for cooking. mrs humfrz showed them how to cook it.

While rabbit hunting in Connecticut, I showed them how to flush out a rabbit, lead it, give it a little distance and take it down. Afterwards, I showed them how to skin it (first checking to make sure it didn't have lose fur), dress it out and cut it up and make rabbit stew. mrs humfrz would have no part of cooking or eating the "Easter bunny".

Now, did those skills help my children in their later years. Well, my daughter now raises her own chickens, which supplies them with eggs and a Sunday meal from time to time.

The oldest son, served for 4 years in the Army and now is a redneck out in the woods of Missouri. I'm sure those hunting and fishing skills he learned as a kid, helped him in the Army, and fit into Missouri redneck life.

The youngest son has spent 4 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, mostly with the Marines. I suspect that the hunting skills learned as a kid ...... came in handy.

I remember taking our daughter (at her insistence) to a pistol range and showing her how to safely handle and shoot my .357 mag revolver and a .45 ACP. I hope she never has to use one, but at least she can tell if one is "loaded".

Our daughter and son-in-law enjoy taking our 3 granddaughters camping and fishing out in the woods of Washington. Catch and release ..... the younger generation is getting softer .....

Nope, we didn't play video games at home ...... I guess that was our loss .......

And I'm a designers/engineer which uses my computer skills daily. Without years of gaming experience I would be at a major disadvantage in the work force. But I guess all those hours spent clicking away were just a massive waste. I mean it's not like you learn hand eye coordination, team work, risk assessment, spacial reconning, situational awareness, recognizing patterns, how to develop strategies, critical thinking etcetcetc.

Well, good on ya, Ashikabi. I'm glad the computer gaming skills you learned in your younger years, have served you well as an adult.

Switched to Motul gear 300 transmission oil. Nice! Biggest difference is shifting into and out of second gear- better when cold and glorious when warmed up!

I ordered a Tomei 60R on a Thursday, got it on a Monday, and installed it on a Tuesday (thank you FT86!). The donut gasket wasn't sealing at the FP to MP. After driving it for a couple days with a slight leak, I didn't like it all that much. Now after troubleshooting with different gaskets (finally got a gasket from a GM truck that worked), everything is sealed and it sounds great!

Not today, per se, but a few interesting changes!

JDM Leather/ Alcantara leather seat covers

TRD steering wheel (ordered from Fensport in the UK since it's discontinued and no one has it anymore)

Thanks! Well I'm in Austin so if you're ever in the area you can stop by.

Tiny knick knacks like hood dampers and a different battery tie down are next. Otherwise, I'm considering a big brake kit.

@weederr33

How did you do the red part below your shift knob? Is that a new part, or did you paint the existing part? Looks great.
