Last night actually went that way. It was stressful getting home so I just parked in the first spot I saw rather than closer to my parents' place.

But later on once I had a clearer head I decided I didn't want to end the night like that so I ran out and moved it halfway down the block to a better spot. That way I can actually see it from their windows. Didn't stall doing that lol. Just a bit jerky.

But I totally agree. I hate giving up so last night I wanted to make sure I did something positive before being done for the day.

Anyone else have any "guilty pleasure" music that goes completely against 99% of what they normally listen to?

For me it's gotta be Three 6 Mafia (well, and classical music)...

You probably shouldn't listen to these around anyone who is easily offended or doesn't like swearing!

I'm a grown man, professional and a dad and I still listen to this garbage when by myself lol. I guess you can take the Stockton boy out of the "hood" but you can't take the "hood" out of me lol.

I took my dad on a short five minute drive through his neighborhood. If you're in a quiet residential area with a 25mph limit is it bad to cruise around 23-25mph in second gear at around 2500rpm?

I was doing that and my dad told me it was wrong and that whenever he's with people driving manual they go into third or even fourth. He doesn't know how to drive manual at all.

So am I right or is he?

I consider anything between 2000-4500 rpm a reasonable range to be cruising in. Obviously anything at the higher end will be less fuel-efficient. Maybe he's used to being with people who have larger displacement engines and lower redlines. If it's a V6 or V8 with a redline of 6000 I could see how they'd have plenty of torque down low and 3000 RPM is too high for normal driving. But this is a fairly low-torque 2.0L 4-banger and you need to keep RPMs higher to have any semblance of torque. If you are below 2000 rpm you are lugging the motor and that is bad for the motor too. So... maybe he's not *wrong* but remind him that redline is up at 7400 RPM on this motor. Well maybe you don't want to get into that conversation with him just yet. You might be better off just agreeing with him and keeping RPMs between 2000-3000 when he's in the car, and during the break-in period.

Ok is trying to remove the front badge and then all the leftover adhesive some kind of sick joke?

Even 3M adhesive remover spray is no match for this shit. Jesus tap dancing christ. If I knew it was this hard to swap the badges i would have said fuck it.

I think I partially broke my fucking fingernail on the side while trying to pry the badge off, because i looked down and there was blood. Then i got adhesive remover in the open wound which felt great. Fuck my life.

I kinda cut myself on the fishing line I used, but popping off the emblem itself was easy. Getting off the residue, I used googone, and some running alcohol. Maybe it's cuz I swapped the emblems the first week I got the car???

I think that must've been it. I should've done this a lot sooner.

When I bought these badges Scion still existed...
