OMG ..........HELP !!!!!!

Especially, @Ultramaroon and @Tcoat.

The trunk lid on my FR-S is squeaking ......

* 2013 FR-S, MT, with 17,xxx miles ..... bought new

* I have no trunk mods (except soundproofing in the wheel well)

* Yes, I have a Nameless muffler

* It just started squeaking when the temps fell below freezing

* I do not track the car

* I do NOT have a short shifter

* It has never been wrecked (although several close calls, according to mrs humfrz)

It only squeaks when I open or close it and only when the car is stationary. No, I don't have a video to post, but it's sort of discolored around the hinges

My questions are:

* should I change the oil?
* where is the drain plug?
* how much oil does it take?
* how can I tell when it's full?
* what brand oil should I use (I hear Royal Red Line is good)?
* does it need to be synthetic?
* what weight oil?
* how often/many miles should I change it
* will this be covered under my warranty?

We are gonna need a video of it opening and closing while in motion to verify if it does it while driving or only stationary

Well, OK, tomorrow, I'll try to convince one of my granddaughters to sit in the trunk with my cell phone camera and make a movie while I drive down the road .....
