Strangely enough that is almost exactly like the place I get my tire work done. They even have a guy nicknamed (well I think it is a nickname) Bubba! There specialty is raising and lowering pickup trucks.

As a general rule, I dont use brushes on the paint because it scratches if you look at it the wrong way. There are snowbrushes designed to be "soft" on paint, the bristles look distressed on the end and its soft to the touch.

However, in most places its a ticketable offense if you don't clear all the snow off your car, so I use a "Snow Joe" (www.snowjoe.com, found HERE) which doesnt mess the paint and removes snow a hell of alot more quickly than a brush.

Eh, I use the brush cause I'm lazy. Maybe I'll look into getting a different brush, but this one works well enough for me right now. I'm not one of the people who obsesses over the condition of my paint. Was more just curious.

Edit: damn, didn't realize that snowjoe was so cheap. Maybe I'll order one...

Using a pair of gloves is much faster than digging out the fucking brush when in a hurry.

I have a short aluminum soft brush from Crappy Tire.

Brushed literally tons of now off my car with a brush and not a single scratch resulted. I do however use the better quality brushes with the soft ends on the bristles. The old school, cheap, hard, poly bristles would be like wire brushing your car and no matter how the paint is they would rip it apart.
I have found that since my paint has aged it no longer comes even close to scratching as easy as it did at first.
