I don't need to drive stick to prove I have one. Which seems to be your MO. Which is totally fine. There's more than enough people who have such an opinion on here. But one transmission choice isn't inherently better than another. I have an ankle issue which makes it extremely uncomfortable to drive stick in heavy traffic. And if I recall correctly, you need to swap cars with your wife during the week because of a knee issue. At least I can drive my car 7 days a week, in Toronto traffic. How's that for transmission superiority? Needless to say, I have just as much fun using the paddles or the "M" stick in my car, as I have had rowing through the gears on my old car. The only benefit is that if traffic gets heavy, and my ankle starts hurting me (lol, jk, it doesn't, since I don't have that extra pedal), I can put it in drive (or leave it in M, since I don't have to work a clutch with my problem foot) and just relax during a commute. Can you say the same? |

It's the MT dudes with the chip-light on. Perhaps they are bi-tranny-curious and have some deep issue with that. I feed off their emotion.

At the end of the day, does it really matter what tranny is behind your FA20?
No need to justify your transmission preferences. Just enjoy the damn car. |

Head dude ignore richardsFRS, he's not worth the time to write a paragraph about. He's a 40 something year old who barely understands the car.

Just proving a point, really. I know not to expect anything back. Just thought I'd put together an intelligent, well thought out (well, in my current state) post and see what he comes back with.

If you owned a manual don't worry about it, you chose an auto this time, however if you have never owned or driven one, perhaps, save your hostility towards us till you do. You may like it or you may just hate it. I know at the end of the day, I'd much prefer this car with a manual being its only 200hp Guy said hes slow at lights, and I don't have that problem, as I'm sure many manual drivers don't. Manuals usually aren't slow off the line unless you want them to be. He may be starting in second, i dunno But my cure for the manual auto traffic disease, we have two cars. When I've had enough manual in traffic, I switch with the wife and drive the auto Kia Soul. And she loves driving the manual and she can drive the shit out of it

I have never seen this happen on this forum and I spend more hours browsing this forum than I should. The only time I see auto owners snap back is when some asshat says "MT > AT because only real men drive MT". |
