correct.

fuel trims are remembered between map switches

effectively your just switching in separate fuel/timing maps and other adjustments can be made via custom maps. eg di and pi "scaling" , starting injector pulse widths , fuel display offset ect can be adjusted using the map switch mode on one axis

eg for a 91/93/E40/E85 switch

Mode 1/2 no offset
Mode 3 add say 15% to pi/di injectors fuel display offset and cranking pulse
Mode 4 add 30%

when you have flex sensor then you use the flex sensor voltage to adjust instead of the map switch mode. and it would be a continuous adjustment

for the real nitty gritty stuff see ztans opensource flex thread

Used both OFT and Delicious tuning with flexfuel...not ever having to worry about e85% is very nice. Oh, and map switching on the fly is nice with Delicious/Ecutek.

Talking

Thanks everyone for all the great input! For now I'm fairly happy with the idea of saving up my money for a bit longer and throwing down for the Delicious kit. A couple years ago, I would have gone the cheaper route, but these days I have a little bit better income and a LOT less time to worry about whether I messed something up. #Lazy #GoFastParts

Side note, we actually have tuned quite a few ESC kits.

@Zach, Good to know! That was my biggest concern. I definitely like the setup and hardware you guys have. When I can afford it (especially after the cost of my next couple of parts ) I will be looking to you for sweet sweet Delicious-ness.

Just curious, do the injectors need upgrade for ESC+ flex fuel?

On this particular setup, the boost is so low that we can get by with stock injectors. More savings!

Sincerely,

Zach
