But of course, FT86 package BBS wheels are pretty too
If I had money to spare/could justify spending, I would so get those BBS wheels. Nice.

Not a fan of coloured rims and think those BBS are way to busy. Simple is better for my taste in rims. I like rims that set off the look of the car not scream "look at me forget the rest just look at me"

I think the lighting isn't very good with the BBS wheels. The majority of that rim is a satin black finish, very similar to the OEM.

That said, I am a big fan of fractal and fractal-like designs, so this just may speak to me more than you.

Or maybe just because you're Canadian. Sometimes its just simple as that.

This is a bit of the pot calling the kettle black because I have a canned tune as well but all he did was put a canned tune and a CAI on. The place he bought it from was advertising 15whp from the two together. I will never understand why people say this kind of shit when it can be so easily fact checked.

Lets be nice and assume 15% loss to drive train

310 * .85 = 263.5
263.5 + 15 = 279 if we are being nice.

He is also convinced that he will be over 400 whp by the end of this year after a more aggressive(yet still canned) tune, an aftermarket wastegate, a cat back exhaust, and possibly a new intercooler. I really don't see that netting the 160 or more at the crank he is going to need for this to happen.
Your friend suffers from an acute case of ricer math.

Ricer math: in which people who are bad at math and engineering add up the manufacturer-advertised power gains to arrive at their current power levels for their terrible bolt-on parts.

There are few other color options (silver, black, bronze, gold & white)... but I don't think gold will work well w Hot Lava. BBS ones looks too busy, but if you look from distance, it's very simple design... but sounds like you don't like multi-spoke wheels. Simple 5~6 spokes?

Well strangely enough it isn't the multi spoke aspect of them it is the pattern. If I had my way I would have:

But they are just way to much to pay for and maintain on my long distance DD.

For colour on the Lava I think that gunmetal works best.

I do like simple Advan TC III... but the price just doesn't justify, just like most of Volks

If you like multi-spoke style & black/gunmental, I got old TSW which is decent

I wanted the BBS RI-D 005... but you know, they're almost impossible to get

Gunmetal isn't bad... but have you look into lil bit darker silver like this one? Can't remember which BBS it is

I wish it was ricer math that would at least have some small connection to reality. This is definitely a case of NumbersOutTheAss-initis. I don't know why I let it get under my skin but we will be playing xbox or something and talking with other people about cars and he will just casually drop the "i'm sitting at about 315 to the wheels." He is also convinced he will "beat" anyone in a race because they will back off while he will keep going to 50+ over the speed limit....i guess that is what happens when you come from a ~140 at the crank corolla.

Came across this in my latest search of gifs to describe me running away from Tcoat, it is worth the random postin. Don't worry, nobody was actually injured.

Actually, now that I look at it, it really is a great metaphor for how some of the threads on here end up going (if you imagine ichi as the guy running down the cart at the end.

I sometimes feel like the poor guy on the cart trying to steer it but powerless to really do anything and yelling for somebody that can actually put the brakes on!
