Wow. R35's are still rare in the Midwest - I can remember every one I've seen, and taken pictures of most of them.
Mine's a pretty simple concept. Sliding a 99 HP '87 Trueno or '92 Miata around is more rewarding than babying a 300HP car. Pushing a car to the limit, challenging yourself, conserving momentum, and learning to be a better driver.
To be fair this belief developed from my historic lack of financial resources. When a ten year old CR-X is the fastest thing you can afford, you learn to love it. And then back it off a highway on ramp doing 75 MPH. Live and learn.
