What are you looking for in a vacation like this? Culture, nature, shopping, food, rafting, rock climbing, what?

Oh, it's long down the road. I'm just an average wage-earning guy. I've travelled quite a bit on my own and do my best to be a respectful tourist. Mrs. Ultra and I have been together for about a decade and so I just get excited about being there to help facilitate her discovery.

We're just planning on simple things that bring us close to Old World history and big nature.

Food is always nice.

Meanwhile, Comcast refuses to upgrade anything over here in my neighborhood. The infrastructure is old, I get DSL speeds even on a broadband connection. Talked to them and have to shell out a huge chunk of money to get a FTTH connection.

Really wanted google fiber to come here but nope, the powers to be fucked all that up. I might move to Oregon if the company lets me work remotely - thats where plans are in works for next round of GF.

We would fix that in short order! You would have no choice but to join in (well I guess you could hide or leave) and once you do and no harm occurs you can practice that new skill everyplace.

You're a super nice guy. We can be our own worst enemies and psyche ourselves out when in reality, no one notices anything.

It was heartwarming when, at the lookout, your brother was worried about running the loops and you said with total conviction "Relax, I got this!"

I had a flashback to me and my bro. That was a great little moment.

OMG!

My story is nothing special, as it's probably the norm for most kids finishing HS to work in customer service (retail,food,etc.)

But fuck me, I will never work customer service ever again unless I'm on the brink of being homeless. 2 years of soul-sucking work where I first learned how idiotic people can be. Wannabe uppity lower middle class people trying to pretend to be rich.

I can go on but I might hit the word limit in a post.

btw, you and I could be best friends. I hate people also, not as much as before since I got the car. But working IT... ahhhhhh!
