How much did you pay for your FR-S?

Hi, I planning to get this car soon but I would like to know the price range people are paying for this car. This will help me get the idea how much people are paying for it and won't get rip off by the dealer. Thank you!

$26,030 (MSRP) + $730 delivery was the sticker price. No additional options were added or offered (other than the usual after-sale warranty/maintenance/protection things).

When it was all said and down including the interest it was $34,000. Manual and it included about $2500 worth of upgrades, paint prot package, and bumber to bumber warranty. Little bit more then I expected to pay but it s all good. Was able to put a bit down on it.

I thought you can negotiate the price. Sorry, but this is actually my first time buying a new car. I always thought people are paying less than the MSRP price or am I wrong?

Not on a Scion. Pure Price means no haggling/negotation. What's on the sticker is what you pay. You can potentially negotiate on things like fees and accessories, but not the car price.

ETA - I wouldn't expect too many dealers would be willing to go below MSRP on this car yet even if you could haggle.

^ That's right. Pure Pricing on Scions should be nationwide, but there are some dealerships that are shady and still mark up the cars. I don't mark up any Scions at my dealership. If any dealership marks up a Scion, my suggestion is to contact the dealership owner and get the difference refunded and then some.

The total number you're stating above depends on your credit, which determines the interest rate, as well as the down payment and the length of the payment term. As such, that number won't apply to most buyers.

When you say "bumber to bumber warranty," I'm assuming you meant "bumper to bumper warranty," which is a term that NO dealership should be saying to you. I'm very specific with my verbiage because I want to ensure that my customers know exactly what's what. I believe it's OUR (meaning: Sales Managers) responsibility to provide accurate information at all times.

I believe we owe it to the buyers to outline everything accurately and disclose everything completely. However, most dealerships are shady and don't share this same sentiment. These are usually the dealerships who don't sell very many cars and have few return customers.

There is no such thing as a "bumper-bumper warranty" because no dealership will cover scratches and impacts to the front and rear bumpers. The correct term used by Scion is "Comprehensive Warranty" which covers parts of the car against failure of components under normal use due to defects in materials or workmanship, excluding the bumpers and normal wear items, such as brake pads and tires. The "Powertrain Warranty" covers the engine, transmission and drive components, including the drive axles and related components.

Yes when I get into work tomorrow. Bear in mind this will be off a California car, so final numbers for different States will be slightly different.

In addition to Nationwide Scion Pure Pricing, you will need to add your local taxes (for example, 8.5%), plus licensing, documentation, and DMV fees (another 1-1.5%) to arrive at your total out-the door price.

what is scion's perspective on dealer doc fees? do they limit them with pure pricing? You speak of other dealers being "shady" and marking up the cars, but a doc fee is nothing other than dealer profit that the sales team isn't paid on.

I paid 26K for mine. I got super lucky and it fell onto my lap. Guy who preordered flaked out on the car and I knew a salesman at Carter Subaru in Washington and got to take it off the lot on May 11th!
