Supercharger mark up
I may have the opportunity to (down the road) to have a supercharger installed at a shop for 5% over that actual cost without the markup. I'm not sure what FI they have to offer, I'm guessing vortech.
In general, anyone know the markup for FI to see what I could potentially save? |

Gonna depend on how many pieces have to be sourced out of house. I don't think Vortech has to source anything except maybe the bypass valve and intercooler core out of house, so I bet the markup is pretty high.

Maybe even more! I'd say you could get the whole kit out the door and tuned for around $1700-2000 EASY!

The estimated cost the shop would pay for it from vortech.
She said they would charge me 5% over that price Last edited by dtrop; 08-13-2015 at 11:07 AM. Reason: Add |

I would get a real number from them, I don't think the mark up is as much as you may think. Shops generally make only 10-15% on off the shelf kits, selling the labor that goes with it is where they make there money.
As for what brand FI, I would say the larger names Vortech, HKS, AVO, GReddy, Jackson, KW. Bigger brands sell through distribution companies that I'm sure Kaizen have accounts with, most any speed shop has this access.
