First things first: get the car and figure out what you need. Your expectation of what you think you want to do with your yet-to-be-owned car versus the reality of ownership (and what you get out of it) are two different things.

Searching for information is great, but you really don't know much about cars if you're thinking of doing a turbo kit AND running stock-sized sticky tires. You heard changing the stock tires are great? There's plenty of guys that go to the track with stock tires that will smoke me. Everyone has a different opinion, I suggest you form your own first.

Get the car first, figure out what you want/don't want, then go from there. Everything else is pointless at this stage.

In the end do whatever modifications to your car that will make you satisfied with your purchase. My only word of advice would be to enjoy the car as is for at least a couple of months. It will allow you to truly enjoy the car for it's impressive design. If anything it might even give you a greater appreciation of whatever mods you choose to pursue, especially if you decide to go forced induction.

What's the problem with calling it what it is? So what I have posted 5 times. It's not like I've never posted or been on a car forum or any forum. There is no reason for you or anyone to be all up and arms about it.

Yes, I did read the forums over the wekend while waiting for authorization to post. What I read seemed to indicate I would need tire width of around 245 for that kind of power, to be put down well enough. But I would have liked to know if anyone is running less than that with power equivalent to what I was looking for, but never mind it seems we have gone way off topic. Mods can close this thread if they want to. Thanks to the people that did post their advice.

I can't help what so ever in terms of what you're actually looking for, but what I can say is there's more than enough information on these forums that probably answer your questions exactly. The people here are as helpful as they come, but you can tell they grow annoyed when questions are asked without any effort to see if they've already been answered. This is just a little knowledge I've come across since I'm new here, too.

I'd also follow the advice everyone is giving: drive for a while before you alter anything. You may have driven it for a few hundred miles, but the longer you drive it the more you'll understand just exactly what needs to be changed.

I don't have the car yet, either. I also find myself reading about how great the cabin delete is, how quiet the exhaust is, how bad this and that are, and then I realize that I'm already planning on modifying things that I might end up loving about the car. I'm an amateur to all this, and while you may not be, hopefully you realize that you might be making some of the same mistakes.

And that's exactly the problem here. Despite being notorious for coming stock with "prius tires" they can hold up on their own fairly well. Stick with it for a few months until you know what your car needs, not some other user on the forums.

If your buying brand new, you might as well wait until the 1000 mile break in is done. What the ramifications of modding before the break in period is over to the warranty are I do not know. I don't plan on any real modding. There are probably threads here on it though...

There are way to many smart asses on here. Hate to break it to you geniuses but this guy wasn't asking "should I drive my car stock before buying mods." Seems like he just wanted some opinions on tires. My question would be do you have a price range you are trying to stay within because there are alot of good options for you to choose from.

Those "smart asses" are trying to help. A lot of guys get caught up in the internet write ups and other peoples preferences and start looking to spend money to fix things that may not effect them in the way they will use the car.
People just spewing out what they think are great tires (especially just based on price range) doesn't help him any more than saying drive the car first. For every person that says get XXX tires there will be one that says that XXX tires suck anyway.
